    1. Introduction
The banking and financial sector plays a key role in the economy. Banks handle public money, provide loans, and offer financial services to people and businesses. Because of this, banks must work carefully and efficiently. Leadership has a strong impact on how banks perform and how employees work.
In the past, banks mostly followed traditional leadership styles where managers gave orders and employees followed rules. Today, this style is not enough. Employees want motivation, support, and chances to grow. Transformational leadership focuses on inspiring employees and helping them accept change. However, banks face many problems while using this leadership style. This paper discusses those issues in simple language.

    4. Meaning of Transformational Leadership
Transformational leadership is a style of leadership where leaders motivate and inspire employees to do better. Such leaders encourage teamwork, creativity, and positive thinking. They focus on long-term goals rather than only short-term targets.
Transformational leaders support employees, listen to their ideas, and help them develop new skills. In the banking sector, this leadership style helps employees accept new systems, improve customer service, and work with more confidence.

    5. Importance of Transformational Leadership in Banking and Financial Sector
The banking sector is changing very fast. Digital banking, online services, and competition from fintech companies have increased pressure on banks. Transformational leadership helps employees adjust to these changes.
This leadership style improves employee motivation and job satisfaction. When employees feel supported by their leaders, they are more willing to learn new skills and perform better. Transformational leadership also helps build trust between management and staff.

    6. Transformational Leadership Issues in the Banking and Financial Sector
    6.1 Resistance to Change
Many bank employees are used to traditional working methods. When leaders introduce new technologies or changes, employees may feel afraid or uncomfortable. This resistance makes it difficult for transformational leaders to bring change smoothly.
    ________________________________________
    6.2 Strict Rules and Structure
Banks follow many rules and procedures. Decision-making is often slow and controlled by top management. This strict structure reduces flexibility and limits employee participation, which is a challenge for transformational leadership.
    ________________________________________
    6.3 Heavy Regulatory Pressure
Banks must follow laws and guidelines from regulatory authorities. Leaders need to be very careful while making decisions. Because of this pressure, leaders may avoid taking new or creative ideas, which affects transformational leadership.
    ________________________________________
    6.4 Lack of Leadership Training
In many banks, managers are promoted based on experience rather than leadership skills. They may not receive proper training in transformational leadership. This lack of training reduces their ability to motivate and guide employees effectively.
    ________________________________________
6.5 High Work Pressure and Targets
Bank employees face high work pressure due to targets, deadlines, and customer demands. Leaders often focus more on achieving targets than motivating employees. This reduces the effectiveness of transformational leadership.
    ________________________________________
    6.6 Communication Problems
Good communication is necessary for transformational leadership. However, in large banks, communication between top management and employees is often weak. This creates confusion, misunderstanding, and low trust.
    ________________________________________
    7. Conclusion
Transformational leadership is very useful for the banking and financial sector, especially in times of change. It helps motivate employees, improve performance, and support innovation. However, banks face many problems while applying this leadership style, such as resistance to change, strict rules, regulatory pressure, and lack of leadership training.
To solve these problems, banks should invest in leadership development, improve communication, and involve employees in decision-making. Strong transformational leadership can help banks achieve long-term success.
